Superintendent
Urata & Sons is looking for a Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in concrete construction.
Job Title: Superintendent
Reports To: General Superintendent
Job Description Summary:
Overall responsibility for project construction, utilization of manpower and materials. Ensure compliance with company safety policies. Ensure project is completed within budget and on time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and management ability
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Working knowledge of trade rules and jurisdiction
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and scheduling skills to anticipate job site problems
- Strong ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of Concrete
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Strong delegation and organizational skills
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Maintain good client relationships
- Schedule and manage manpower, materials, equipment and Subcontractors.
- Control field costs to work within the established budgets and completes the project on time
- Study and understands the current project documents and scope of work
- Records safety documentation (safety meetings and accident reports)
- Recruit, manage, mentor, and motivate field forces
- Implement company field document control and procedures (i.e. timecards, daily reports, safety reports, purchase orders, coding of invoices, etc.)
- Ensure all company workmanship and Subcontractor work is performed at the highest level of quality
- Oversee/conduct weekly project meeting as well as attend pre-construction meetings
- Work harmoniously with the Project Managers and office staff to ensure a successful project
Education, Experience and Other Qualifications
- High School Diploma or 10 years construction industry experience
- At least 5 years Foreman experience
- Current OSHA Certification
- Current Red Cross First Aid Certification
